FEATURED SHOP OF THE MONTH
Well Strung Guitars roots run deep, starting back in 1968 as We Buy Guitars, on the legendary Music Row on 48th Street in New York City. The shop rebranded in 2018 to Well Strung Guitars and relocated to Farmingdale, NY in 2019, and continues to be at the forefront of bringing its customers the best quality and most original vintage guitars and basses.
Co-owners David and his daughter Paige Davidson have been musicians and performers for many years. David played guitar in a variety of bands and has worked in music stores as far back as his pre-teen years (when he sorted guitar picks by color for his uncle, who owned a guitar store in Port Jefferson, NY), and began working at We Buy Guitars in 1968.
David was also the curator of Songbirds Guitar Museum in Chattanooga, TN, which showcased over 500 first-class vintage guitars, the largest collection in the world. With a keen eye, a personal collection that's museum worthy, and an encyclopedic knowledge of each instrument's history, Well Strung Guitars is a must-see destination, showcasing vintage guitars from Fender, Gibson, Gretsch, and Rickenbacker, with the occasional Martin, Danelectro, Ampeg, or D'Angelico, and maybe you too will become a collector!
As a family-owned business, the team at Well Strung Guitars are passionate about what they do, and customers are drawn to their personalized, one-on-one connections, guaranteeing a positive and memorable buying (or selling) experience.
