FEATURED SHOP OF THE MONTH
7701 CJ Dedemsvaart
Happy 20th Anniversary to The Fellowship of Acoustics in Dedemsvaart, The Netherlands!
The shop has been around since 2001, but music has played a major part of TFOA owner and founder Rudi Bults’ family since 1930! A guitarist himself with a self-proclaimed obsession with tone and wood, Rudi, his brother, and friends started collecting vintage Martins, and quickly learned there was great demand for these guitars in their area. The Fellowship of Acoustics soon opened its doors (starting in Bergentheim, at Rudi’s house) with a concentration on quality, handcrafted guitars while also celebrating the community of acoustic enthusiasts.
Today, TFOA is a highly specialized guitar shop where customers can find a wide selection of the world’s finest acoustic guitars from both this century and eras gone by. They offer not only steel-string guitars, but also a fine selection of classical guitars, bass guitars, mandolins, ukuleles, and banjos, with brands including Martin, Gibson, Lowden, McIlroy, Haar, RebelRelic, Collings, Kevin Ryan, Goodall, Thompson, Eastman, Atkin, Santa Cruz, Lakewood, Bourgeois, Suhr, Gretsch, PRS, Fender (and Fender Custom), Andy Manson, McNally, BSG, and Furch.
TFOA’s motto is “Life’s too short to play a sh***y guitar,” which perfectly explains who they are, what they stand for, and what they aim to do.
The shop plans on thriving for many years to come, as the family’s fourth generation of musicians -- Rudi’s kids! – will play an integral part in TFOA’s future.
