FEATURED SHOP OF THE MONTH
In 1981, after a decade of learning how to play the guitar, studying music performance, graduating with honors from University of Georgia, and teaching private music lessons, George Petsch decided that he, along with his wife Claire, would open Maple Street Guitars in Atlanta and offer guitar lessons. The shop soon started selling quality guitars for their aspiring players, complete with the finest accessories to inspire every level of performer.
Maple Street Guitars now has an extensive collection of fretted instruments, including Collings, Goodall, Santa Cruz, Martin, Taylor, Eastman, Blueridge, Fender, G&L, Godin, Alhambra, Kenny Hill, Cervantes, Kala, Kamaka, Lanikai, Carr, Goodsell, Oldfield, Hirade, and Takamine. The instruments in the shop are each hand selected, chosen for their overall performance and sound, with quality options at all price points for beginners to professional-level guitar players.
Every instrument is evaluated upon arrival, adjusted for optimal playability, and meticulously maintained while in the shop. And the knowledgeable staffers will work alongside their customers to insure the best experience and find the perfect pairing of instrument to player’s needs.
Today, after almost 40 years in business, and with George and Claire’s son Lindsay managing the shop, Maple Street continues to be the go-to place for quality instruments, customer service, repairs, maintenance, and instruction.
